Shell Omala S4 GXV upgrade
Shell has upgraded the advanced synthetic gear oil, from Shell Omala S4 GXV to Shell Omala S4 GXV Plus. This was done to have one product that is approved by both SEW Eurodrive and Flender and meeting most of the latest global key OEMs’ (Original Equipment Manufacturer) requirements.
Shell Omala S4 GXV Plus is the latest mPAO (Metallocene Polyalphaolefin) based advanced synthetic gear oil, designed to meet the most severe applications with extended oil life, enhanced protection, better oxidation and thermal stability, wider operating temperature range and higher energy efficiency¹.
Following a detailed compatibility study completed at the Shell Technology Center, we confirm that Shell Omala S4 GXV Plus range is fully compatible with Shell Omala S4 GXV range.
