Shell Lubricants Product Update – October 2025

Shell Helix Ultra ECT C6 0W-20 has been updated to fulfil several new specifications including the very demanding high fuel economy demands from both Mercedes Benz and BMW.

This product is also fit-for-purpose for Ford specification WSS-M2C954-A1 which is used in new Ford Ecoboost 1.0 and 1.5 models as well as some Duratech-Hybrid engines.

ACEA C5/C6, API SP/GF-6A, BWM LL-17FE+, MB 229.71/229.72, Fiat 9.55535-CR1/GSX (meets requirements), Ford WSS-M2C-954-A1 (meets requirements)

Shell Helix Ultra ECT SQ/C3 0W-40 is a new product specifically for Mercedes Benz hybrid engines. This 0W-40 product is now a requirement for these engines. The product combines the newest API category for gasoline engine oils called SQ with superb oil flow properties combined with maximum DPF/GPF protection.

Shell Helix Ultra ECT C3/SP 0W-30 is now available across the Nordics.
This product is market leading in terms of both engine protection and fuel economy in a very wide range of BMW vehicles. This product is also approved for a wide range of Mercedes Benz cars as well as a high number of Asian carbrands.
